Pride Pen

One common thread among faith-based institutions is that people are always carrying their Bible and some type of highlighter. This helps them retain and share specific scripture. It has become so common that religious stores even have packs of highlighter pens with colour-coding guides to associate the main 6 colours with the various aspects of faith.

Idea:

We created the Pride Pen; a new highlighter that includes all of the colours and represents inclusion. By simply distributing these highlighter pens in faith-based institutions we start conversations around diversity in religion. With Bible verses that demonstrate inclusion we also created versatile ads that challenge people to rethink their acceptance of the LGBTI community and give them a tool to take the first step. Because it takes faith to love God, but it takes courage to love everyone.
